Your temporary crown is designed to protect the underlying tooth, hold space for your permanent crown, and prevent the gum tissue from shifting over the tooth.
If the temporary crown breaks or comes off, please contact our office right away. Avoid sticky foods that could loosen it. Keep the area clean by brushing, flossing, and using mouthwash daily.
When flossing, gently snap the floss through the contact and slide it out to the side—do not pull it back up through, as this could dislodge the temporary crown.
