Depending on the anesthetic used, you will likely remain numb for a few hours after your procedure. It is normal to experience some soreness in the gums and jaw, as well as temporary sensitivity. Your teeth may also feel slightly “looser” at first, but as the gums heal, they typically begin to feel firm again. Be sure to resume brushing and flossing as directed by your dentist, and follow up as recommended for your routine maintenance visits.
