 Meet our Orthodontist

Dr. Sireen Yang

“Being an orthodontist has truly been a blessing from God. I find it so incredible that I get to care for others, make a difference, and do something so fulfilling all at the same time. Helping people achieve their goals and create smiles they love makes each and every day such a joy. I love the wonderful family and team we have at LaGrange and Ligonier Family Dentistry, and I love even more that we can partner with our amazing community here.”

Dr. Yang grew up in Fishers, Indiana, and graduated from Hamilton Southeastern High School. She then obtained a dual Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Neuroscience at Indiana University Bloomington, graduating with Highest Distinction and earning minors in Chemistry, Psychology, and French.

After her time in Bloomington, she went on to receive her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Indiana University School of Dentistry, where she graduated with High Distinction and held leadership positions with the American Dental Education Association and Indiana University Student Outreach Clinic, while also acting as teaching assistant and lead tutor in multiple predoctoral courses at the dental school. She was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society, as well. She next completed her specialty training in orthodontics at Indiana University School of Dentistry and received her Masters of Science degree in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics. She is currently an active member of the American Association of Orthodontists, Great Lakes Association of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, and Indiana Dental Association.

When she is not in the office helping patients obtain smiles they love, Dr. Yang enjoys mentoring for Big Brothers Big Sisters and volunteering with the youth group at her local church. She also loves trying new recipes, reading, and spending time with friends and family.

 Wire Braces

  • Scheduling an orthodontic consultation with us is free! Now you’re able to schedule your appointments online using our online booking tool! You’re also welcome to call our office as well at 260-463-2111.

The consultation lasts an hour, and during that time we will take impressions, scans, x-rays, and perform a complete evaluation. We’ll also take some photos of your face, mouth, and smile. This helps us better determine how long your treatment may take.

We will be able to begin the process the same day as your appointment if you opt to move forward with wire braces and are able to make a deposit.

  • As with many things, it depends! After a thorough examination and evaluation, we will evaluate the complexity of your case and work with you to establish your treatment goals. On average, orthodontic treatment takes around 24 months, but some patients require more or less than that. At your consultation, we can help you better understand you how long your unique treatment will take so that you have a beautiful and functional smile at the end of treatment.

  • Depending on you or your child’s case complexity and stage of growth, we will recommend either a one-phase or two-phase treatment plan.

A two-phase treatment plan would consist of a Phase 1 early intervention stage and a Phase 2 comprehensive treatment stage. The American Association of Orthodontists recommends that every child see an orthodontist no later than age 7. Many children do not need early treatment, but for those that do, a first phase early intervention can help prevent future severe problems and allow us to address any disturbances in jaw and tooth eruption that could affect growth and development.

Many children and most adults only need one comprehensive phase of treatment, after which we provide you with retainers to wear so that you can maintain your new smile! At your complimentary consultation, we will give you more details about treatment length to accomplish your unique goals.

  • For orthodontics we offer in-house financing with 0% interest. $1000 down payment with payments spread out over the length of treatment.

CURRENT SPECIAL: $500 DOWN PAYMENT FOR WIRE BRACES AND $1500 DOWN PAYMENT FOR INVISALIGN

  • We will help teach you how to care for your teeth with braces! We recommend flossing daily and brushing twice a day, as well as after every meal. When you get your braces, we will go over techniques to keep your teeth clean at home, as well as what you can do to keep your braces as comfortable as possible and keep your treatment on track.

During your orthodontic treatment, we still strongly recommend having your teeth cleaned by a dentist regularly. Keeping your teeth and gums healthy is so important!

Clear Aligners

  • We make getting started easy. All you need to do is give us a call, schedule online or walk into our office at LaGrange Family Dentistry. Your personalized treatment plan will be made customized to you and your needs.

  • As with many things, it depends! After a thorough examination and evaluation, we will evaluate the complexity of your case and work with you to establish your treatment goals. On average, orthodontic treatment takes around 24 months, but some patients require more or less than that. At your consultation, we can help you better understand how long your unique treatment will take so that you have a beautiful and functional smile at the end of treatment.

  • Clear aligners should be worn at all times except when eating, flossing, and brushing.

  • The first couple of days you use each set of clear aligners, you may experience some discomfort. This is completely normal. The discomfort should pass within the first 24 hours of receiving your new aligners.

  • Lagrange Family Dentistry makes clear aligners affordable by providing flexible payment plans through 3rd party financing or our inhouse financing arrangements. We will file your insurance claim for you and typically if your insurance policy covers traditional braces it also will cover your clear aligners to the same extent. You can also use your FSA or HSA tax free dollars towards your treatment.

  • Clear aligners are close to invisible and can be remove so you can continue to enjoy your favorite foods and continue to brush and floss as normal. Clear aligners can be much more comfortable and as effective as/more effective than traditional braces depending on your case. At your consultation, we can give you more details on whether clear aligners or traditional braces would be better for you based on your needs and lifestyle!

  • Many people may assume that orthodontic treatment is just for looks and cosmetic reasons. That’s often not accurate! Orthodontic care can improve so many aspects of your overall health.

Our goal is to help you achieve an aesthetic smile you love, as well as establish health and function.
